Introduction
"Ua mau ke ea o ka aina i ka pono." This means "The land is perpetuated in righteousness." It is on the bottom of the Hawaiian seal it represents King Kamehameha the Third! The seal is on important documents like a constitution or when a law is passed the official copy has the seal on it. King Kamehameha the Third's full name at birth was Keaweaweʻula Kīwalaʻō Kauikeaouli Kaleiopapa. It was then lengthened to Keaweaweʻula Kīwalaʻō Kauikeaouli Kaleiopapa Kalani Waiakua Kalanikau Iokikilo Kīwalaʻō i ke kapu Kamehameha as soon as he ascended to the throne. He reigned from 1824-1854. He began his reign at the age of eleven and died at age 41 after reigning thirty years. He was the longest reigning monarch of Hawaii. He had a positive influence on Hawaii. Through King Kamehameha the Third's love and compassion, King Kamehameha the Third provided his native Hawaiian people with security.
